My name is Ben. I am husband to the most amazing woman, co-founder of the band Sidewalk Prophets, and a student of life. Running has literally changed my life this past year. (I lost 125 lb.) I have learned a lot about discipline and the lessons learned have poured over in to every area of my life. With this blog I hope to share a bit of entertainment, and inspiration as well as keep a journal of the places I run. If you're feeling helpless, hopeless, and lost... I am here to tell you that I have been there and I think I may be able to share some insight that may help you. Thanks for reading.

The craziness of life continues and the discipline of keeping up with this blog has proven itself a worthy adversary. The good news is that I finally have a few moments to write. Over the past 5 days I have been in 9 states. In the past week I have been in over 11 states. Time’s an interesting thing. Some moments painstakingly pass and others occur so quickly they hardly feel real.
TN, KY, IN, MI, CA, NV, WA, TX, MI, KS, IL (the states i’ve been in the past week)
We played a festival @rockthedesrt in Midland, TX on Thursday. The staff was awesome and the hospitality was great. Funny part of the story is that somehow we were the opening band for the first ever “Metal Night”. I’m not quite sure how that happened but we got a kick out of it. The crowd was great. After that we flew home to TN and got loaded in the van and drove 7.5 hours to Portage, IN. It’s been a beautiful morning so far. I went for a 5 mile run and we’re all getting ready to play a great event called “August Rush”.
I’m glad I found the time to at least give a little update. More to come!
